How would you know if the eggs are fresh or not?
- Hard boil them. Simply Fresh eggs will be hard to peel because the whites are pressed hard against the shell, the old ones will be easier to peel.
You can add salt to the water while boiling the fresh egg to peal it easier.
- Put it in cold water. If it sinks to the bottom and lies on its side, it’s fresh. If it stands up, it’s about 1-2 weeks old. If it floats, it’s an old egg.
The following pic above shows that the egg is fresh.
